Launched on 7 May 2013, Proba-V is a miniaturised ESA satellite tasked with a full-scale mission: to map land cover and vegetation growth across the entire planet every two days.

To celebrate the launch of ESA’s new Open Access policy for images, video and data, a set of 22 freshly processed and thus new images of ESA’s 22 member states, licenced under Creative Commons CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO, has just been released. The set consists of a cloud-free image in 300 m per pixel resolution of  each ESA member state, i.e. Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
